The oldest Christmas market in Germany is the Dresden Striezelmarkt. A unique Christmas atmosphere awaits you in the heart of Dresden's historic old town. Dresden's famous Striezelmarkt is the city's largest Christmas market and delights with lovingly decorated huts and historic carousels. With wooden decorations from the Ore Mountains, woad-dyed fabrics from Lusatia, Christmas stars from Herrnhut or Original Dresdner Christstollen, the busy stalls have a festive focus on Saxon art and crafts.
