Citizens and visitors with disabilities
Approximately one in ten inhabitants of the city of Dresden lives with some form of disability. It is important for them to be able to master their everyday life as independently as possible. Hence, we must do everything we can to shape an accessible city.
City Guide for the Physically Disabled
The up-dated edition of the City Guide for the Physically Disabled is available.
For the area Altstadt / Neustadt (26er-Ring) and other chosen parts of the city, an updated and extended map for the physically disabled has been published as well.
It shows:
- Barrier-free routes and lowered curbs
- Barrier-free parking spots
- Public transport stops with access for the disabled (tram, bus, S-Bahn)
- Barrier-free toilets
- In addition, a map of the city centre public transport network for the area 26er-Ring has been published with details of all barrier-free stopping points.
