Support

The building of the new Dresden Synagogue cost almost 22 million DM and was financed through a combination of public funding by the Free State of Saxony and the City of Dresden as well as donations and endowments by the Association of Sponsors »Bau der Synagoge Dresden«.

After the consecration of the New Dresden Synagogue in 2001, the Association of Sponsors was dissolved.

Successor to the Association of Sponsors was the »Freundeskreis Dresdner Synagoge e.V.«. Its objective is to support religious and cultural life in the Dresden Synagogue. The »Freundeskreis Dresdner Synagoge e.V.« offers guided tours through the synagogue, organizes events and promotes donations.
