For many people, counselling and treatment centres are the first point of contact for dealing with and overcoming addiction problems. Here you can find information and various offers of help, both as a person affected and as a family member. The services of the addiction counselling centres are always free of charge and anonymous upon request.
These services are offered by all addiction counselling and treatment centres in Dresden:
- Counselling for those affected by difficulties with addictive substances or addictive behaviours
- Counselling of relatives and caregivers in the form of individual talks, groups and seminars
- Crisis intervention
- Diagnostics
- Providing information and encouragement
- Preparation and referral to outpatient or inpatient treatment (detoxification, withdrawal)
- Day-structuring offers
- Outpatient follow-up treatment after inpatient rehabilitation and help with reintegration into the work process
- Referral to self-help groups and support for self-help activities
- Addiction prevention services for multipliers and parents

Drug Counselling Centre of the Public Health Office
The drug counselling centre works city-wide and is specialised in illegal drugs. The services are open to all citizens of Dresden (young people and adults). We are the contact for those affected and their relatives as well as for multipliers and professionals. The counselling and support services are oriented towards the topics and wishes of those seeking help.
